Grateful for the Beastie Boys

I've just spent way too long watching Beastie Boys video clips, hellooo Sunday, after hearing about the death of Adam Yauch. Love their stuff, one of the first bands I'd reach to for some crazy wild dancing time. The sort of dancing that's best done when no ones watching, but I can't help release in public when their songs begin. So hard to pick a favourite, they just kept changing with the times, and not one of their album disappoints.

Thankyou MCA for inspiring me to unleash my inner rapper.

  1. I didn't realise Adam Yauch had died - very sad - I too enjoy a bit of wild dancing to the Beastie Boys - It invaribly produces a round of "oh mum" and eye rolling from Miss 5(although I think she secretly enjoys it).

  2. I enjoyed a bit of Beastie Boys action back in the late 80s, and I too was saddened to hear of Adam's passing.

    1. 80s, 90s, noughties... I still haven't grown out of them! Got to see them play in the 90s, so much energy.

In the spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt.
Margaret Atwood

“She turned to the sunlight
And shook her yellow head,
And whispered to her neighbour:
"Winter is dead.”
