Rainy days and wet spring flowers

It's winter again, the fire is burning, bread is baking. Come back Spring - we miss you.  It's not all bad though - sun showers, rainbows, watered plants, pinging hail, glistening leaves, damp earth smell and delightful wet spring flowers.

Note the Autumn tree, doesn't know it's season!

Potato patch - old school trenches -  raspberries getting leaves and growing new suckers

Kids making ice cream cake for middle one's 7th birthday tomorrow, no assistance required, peppermint choc layer and caramel cookie layer. EASY!

Wet hair after walking home in rain, smiling despite very wet shoes

  3. Pretty garden photos. I hope the birthday went well, chilly as it was. Perfect day for inside!

  4. Your photos are beautiful! We considered a move from the city to the country earlier this year and your photos are reigniting the fire in my belly! The rusty house reminded me of chocolate...weird?

In the spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt.
Margaret Atwood

“She turned to the sunlight
And shook her yellow head,
And whispered to her neighbour:
"Winter is dead.”
