Making Mozzarella

 Yesterday I learnt:
A smidge can be measured.
The art of gentle stirring.

That curds and whey are great fun to play with.

Kneading mozarella is a bit like playing with playdough.

All cheese is naturally white.

 Cheese making is wondrous alchemy.

That Gavin from the Greening of Gavin is a truly lovely and clever fellow.

I can now make my own Mozzarella cheese in 1/2 an hour, and it tastes great! I might be hooked.

I love hanging out with those Vegie Group ladies.  So many mischievous smiles and laughs.  Who knew how funny cheese making could be? For more on this mozzarella cheese making adventure visit Christine at Slow Living Essentials.  Thankyou so much to Christine for organising the day, and to Gavin, who is a wonderful teacher.

In the spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt.

“She turned to the sunlight
And shook her yellow head,
And whispered to her neighbour:
"Winter is dead.”
